What happens when two business strategists get honest about what we still can’t see in our own businesses?
This one is a little different. Marketing Strategist and Community Facilitator Emily LeDuc, founder of Bloom, invited me onto her Substack for my very first Live, unedited and in real time. We got into why I stripped the branding out of my business, why I brought it all back, and what it actually takes to build from your energetics instead of someone else’s blueprint.
In this episode, we talk about:
honoring all parts of you instead of niching out your gifts
building a business as a Projector without operating like a Generator
practicing non-attachment in business growth
shifting your money mindset through energy clearing and community
why messaging clarity attracts aligned clients
cycle syncing your business without abandoning your body
simplifying what you promote so people actually get it
making content and client onboarding fun again
separating your personal brand from your business brand

VIDEO RECORDING Business Growth in Real Time. Navigating the ups, downs, and in betweens. Substack LIVE 10.21.26: and we're live. my goodness. Welcome in. We have a couple of people joining. I'm so incredibly excited for this conversation today, Sasha. I if you don't know who Sasha is, you all are in for an amazing treat. So Sasha is the Energy Architect. So she is, I want to quick introduce who she is. We'll then we'll go over what we'll chat about today. but Sasha is a branding expert with over 13 years of experience, a human design expert, and the founder of Design to Be Human, a six-figure business that has launched more than 70 brands over the past seven years. Holy shit, that's amazing. she is also the host of the Have You Met You podcast, which I highly recommend. And she is passionate about helping soul-led women build authentic six-figure businesses by aligning their identity, brand, and content from the inside out through her signature Highly Potent Method. so much. So much. Thank you for inviting me. I'm so excited to be here. Yes, this is your first live. I know. I know. I'm like, this is different from like the podcast. I know it's nice. It's just natural, no editing, which is so we love that. Yeah, we love that. We love it. so what we're going to chat about today is really about what Sasha and I are experiencing in our businesses right now. We're really, I would say, both in a season of growth. and talking about How we're navigating that. There is so much value when you can hear what someone else is going through. It can help you feel less alone, spark ideas for how you might tackle something in your own business. And frankly, there is so much from strategy to inner work that we are navigating. And hopefully it helps you in what you're navigating with your business. So Sasha, anything else to add on that before I I want to hear like where you're at in your business right now. And I think also just like letting people know like before you get into the details of what you're experiencing, what stage is your business in two? Yeah, I mean, I've been running it for what, seven years now? And I feel like it's gone through so many iterations at this point. And I I really feel like the last two years has been like, I'm going to completely remove X, Y, and Z and only do one thing. And then it's like, no, I don't want to do that. And so I would say that we are in growth. I think there's clarity and direction as far as being like, I am a branding studio now. Like we are calling it that. I was trying to lean into just doing only human design and I was like, I'm missing the creative expression part, which is like such an innate gifting. For me. And I was actually talking to my friend Lexi and I was like, and we have very similar like cycles with our businesses, which is like wild. But I was like, why are we throwing out what we're so good at and like making our lives so much harder by doing the things that we're not necessarily like intuitively, like inherently good at? Right. I'm trying to go all in on this like. Business strategy with energetics, which is so part of what I do already. But I was taking away all of the joy and the fun of the branding and the creative expression. And I was like, what are we doing? Like, why am I, if we have choice to create our businesses in the way that we want to and full autonomy over it, why are we creating it in a way that we don't like? And I was like, what are we doing? And sometimes you just have to like go through all the fucking tangents and then you get back and you're like, no, I was I was on the right path. But I was doing it from a different mindset. And it just wasn't working the way I was doing it previously. Now that I'm out of the spiritual closet, it's like, it all makes sense now. Does that make sense? Well, it does. I I think a lot of us as entrepreneurs experience that at some point. I'm curious what made you start to want to shift away from it from the start, from because you were like focused specifically on design. What made you start to think I should move towards human design. Mm-hmm. Well, I guess we didn't even mention this in the intro, but I'm obsessed with human design. How I see the world is through energetics. And this is what I mean by like coming out of the spiritual closet. I've been following human design before it was like cool. Like the cool girls weren't even like in that realm yet with it. And I heard it on a podcast and it was the first time where I was like, wait, I think I see me in this. And so I went and, you know, Downloaded my chart found out I was a projector. And I was like, my entire life literally makes sense. Like being raised by a manifesting generator who has like a ton of energy and is meant to like initiate and do all the things. I was raised by that, but I'm a projector. I'm here to like wait for the invitation. I'm here to wait to be recognized for my insights. And that is just not how I was operating. So I was constantly met with such friction intention. And I every time I felt lost, like, you know, I'm like, I have direction. And then I'd feel lost. a spinning compass, I would then go back to human design. I'm like, why am I not like I know I'm a healer and I'm also like not operating from that space. And so I finally was like, I was like, yes, I have this branding studio, but I'm built it in a way for a generator, right? And it's like, I'm doing, doing, doing, doing, but I'm not able to like zoom out and like really offer the visionary insights in a bigger way. And so I was like, I'm gonna go get my certification in human design. And then I started two businesses and I was like, what am I doing? And but then I finally moved everything under one. And then I was like, okay, and now I'm really doing human design. And then people were really confused. I was like, what am I doing? I was just confusing people, like honestly. And sometimes you have to learn it, learn that the hard way. And it like what it comes down to is that human design is the tool. How I see you so clearly is through this lens of energetics. And this is like The map that helps me put language to what I feel and how I see other people. Right. And so then I get to inform with their unique energetics specifically what a brand and a business looks like. But it was just like I have to accept all parts of me. Simple answers, short answers went a long way around that. But like simple answers, I had to accept all parts of me and honor all parts of me because just doing design and branding, I was. Absolutely ignoring this very healing, very connected part of myself to the spiritual world and how I actually see it. Like people are What's your branding process? I was like, Well, it's really intuitive. And it is, right? Because I'm just feeling into your essence, and then I create from there. but it's just really cool to actually have language to what to what I feel. So yeah. It's interesting. I had a conversation with who was my brand strategist, Lee Maneri. A couple weeks ago I just posted we're doing a short podcast series and I posted about this, but it was honoring all parts of you in your business. And it's so important because that's what helps to even bring in your aligned client, right? Because they see they're like, I love that she takes an intuitive approach. I love that she incorporates human design and she does design. And if we try to niche down and just focus on one area of you know our interests our business that sort of thing it really limits us and then it waters down all of our magic right which is what our aligned clients are really looking for and it's what helps us stand out. So I love that. And yeah. go for it. I was gonna say Funny that we we have helped so many brands grow because we come from the business strategy background. And yet as entrepreneurs, we still navigate the things that we help our clients with. It's so much easier to solve other people's problems. I'm telling you. I'm like, I got you. For me, I'm like, I can't see anything. Help me. It is And it's like, well, what what does that mean if I can't solve this for myself like I do with clients? And it can be a really internal thing. And I think, you know, maybe other wellness practitioners experience that as well too. You know, they're really great at healing other people, but then sometimes they have these things that come up that's their own inner work and they're like, How why am I not getting this? Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. All the time. I'm like, well, have you sat with your spirit guides and asked them these questions? And they're like, No. I was like, okay, maybe you start there. Right. take your own medicine. I think it's so much easier to be like, go and do this, go and do this. I know the strategy, but then not implementing it for yourself. I think that was actually a big I think that's been a big that's been really interesting though. to know that I'm a projector building a business like a generator and not resourcing myself with people who can like sustain the energy of what I needed is interesting. why, why are we doing that? Like, why are we still trying to operate in this old way of being? Because we know, right, it's safe. I know this works. Versus being like, well, can I trust myself enough to actually build the business in a way that feels aligned for me, that creates ease and flow. And if I'm in true alignment with who I am to your point, you will attract your ideal clients. And then you will have an infinite amount of money coming in and projects to work on. Absolutely. But you have to trust that what you want and what you desire from your business is actually for you. Because I think we get so lost in the sauce around all these special frameworks and methodologies and well it worked for them. So it's gonna work for me. And it's like, no, literally like we're in a trust recession at this point. Like that is why I like using energetics because you're a generator. You're built very differently than me. Right. And so I would say your business should look X, Y, and Z and mine should look like X, Y, and Z, but they're not going to be the same. There's going to be some strategies that make sense if it works for our energy types. But I'm curious for you though, how what how has your business shape shifted? And like to the question of how do we access all parts of ourselves in this business? What what parts have you had to, you know? throw away and what parts are you just leaning all the way into now? Yeah. So I started to go through a sh big shift in my business and rebrand probably the middle of last year. And then early this year I really started taking the action of making those shifts happen. So it's like the internal part. really started to come up mid-last year. And so historically I had always been a marketing strategist acting as a freelancer consultant specific to email marketing. And I had felt like there was so much more that I wanted to be able to help women entrepreneurs with. And it's like email, it's funny because I started to want to just like scrap email as well. I'm I don't want to do that. I'm out. And so if you look at some of my messaging, you can start to see, all of a sudden, I'm not talking about email at all. I'm talking about all these other things that interest me and light me up. but I wanted to help women with more of the structure of their business, finding that a lot of women that are entrepreneurs, often within the wellness space, have a hard time with. Building structure around their business, prioritizing, running the business side of things. And for your marketing to work, you really have to look at foundational pieces like your offer ladder, understanding your ideal client, like all of these deeper level things before you start marketing. So I wanted to be able to help them with that structure, that support, those foundations, and then email as a part of it. while also making sure that they're not abandoning their body and really working with their energy, working with their their cycle all throughout the month. So that's where went through a rebrand earlier this year. And at the time I didn't really even know what I was creating next with the rebrand. I I wanted to possibly even take a shift where it was like going all in on herbalism because I was studying herbalism as well. Why do we want to just burn it all up? I'm like, burn it down. Give me something to do. I'm just an herbalist now. And so yeah. And it was really difficult for me to figure out how do I weave in all of these things. And frankly, I had to I that's when I was like, I need to work with someone and outsource because I just keep Trying to make these shifts on my own. And I think for so long we try to DIY our business. And because we're thinking, well, I'm a strategist, like I can do this. I like, I don't need to work with someone else. So my brand strategy just helped to weave in all parts of me. And then over time, I started to realize, okay, this is what I like. the most what this is what I enjoy. So a lot of spending time reflecting, journaling, going inward, seeing where am I feeling lit up, where am I feeling drained. And that has helped me shape the community that I've created. And it continues to shape that community as well. So that's been a big learning process. But The all parts of me is bringing in the energetics, bringing in herbalism, wellness, women's health, and business strategy. But I had to kind of work with someone to help me with that. Yeah, absolutely. Well, and I love I think to your point of like women building businesses, it's like we want to be in our feminine and our creative flow, but like it's so necessary that once we actually build the foundation and those structures, then we can really access that zone of genius that we all have. But it is so important. I think I love solving that problem too, where it's like, how do we actually build the foundation for you to just be? how can we just be in the being of our essence in the work that we're doing? Because we didn't start a business to just be lost in the sus and like in the task and the admin and the emails and you know, the overwhelm of all of those things. So if there's a way that we can actually create the systems to optimize our essence. Ooh, I feel like there's something there. Then let's go do that. Yeah. So I think it's just so important. And then the email marketing stuff, I'm like, I have ghosted my email list. Sorry, folks. I'll be back soon. I don't know why or when. I was actually thinking for email. I was like, maybe I just do like videos. Maybe I just do like audio notes to them and just call it a day. Because that feels easier to me than writing an email. Well, and then I think you have to think what How can this be fun and enjoyable to me? But I love that idea because I maybe people are getting bored of just traditional emails. So if they were to get something in their inbox that's a voice note or a quick video, I mean think that would be and then test it. See like how does that work compared to just a written email? Yeah. I you you there's AI for whisper flow and I could talk into something, but I'm like, my magic is like here. we when we speak, I'm using my hands and I get excited and then I get sad and I get woo, I'm just there's just so many like waves of expression that happen just from speaking, you know, and the visible aspect of it. And it's also something where it's like, I love creating content, I love, you know. The podcast and talking and connecting with people and the YouTube, it's like, well, let's just double down on this skill. Cause I'm building a skill. I was definitely not born with it. Takes time. Yeah. It does. So now it sounds like you've come full circle and you're like, okay, I'm grounded in what I'm doing, what my business is. What like I think it's always we're always evolving. Right. We're always literally every three months. It's a new new cycle. Yeah. I mean, that's part, that's part of being human. That's part of entrepreneurship. And we have to be okay with making the like learning and shifting, learning and shifting. Like that's part of it. Yes. I was just on I'm in a a part of another community. and I was doing someone's a coach or something and I just got like a she's like in training and we were talking and I think it was happened on the community call too, where I was she's like, Well, what do you not like about your business right now? And I'm like, I feel like I lack clarity. Like I feel like I keep spinning my wheels on things. And then I was like, and also I don't think I know. I can't even fathom what is for me right now because I'm in this like evolution and up level. Like I know it's branding, but there's something else like in a teaching capacity that I can't even see yet. Like I'm like, I think I'm in like I'm about to be a butterfly of butterfly of some sort. And you know, it's like it's interesting to like be at this threshold of like, I now have fully committed with clarity that I'm doing branding. with the human design as a tool, et cetera, et cetera. Here's my processes and flows for that. Great. And also I'm like, there's a visibility piece in a big way where I meant to do long form content. Like, is it the just the podcast? Or there's some, there's like, it just feels like there's something like reconfiguring around me. And it will be revealed eventually. So there's something too I want to speak into of like the waiting of like I don't even know if my frequency can hold what is coming. It's just like an if there's like a knowing, like it's like a little sensey knowing here. I think it's it, I mean, it sounds like a nervous system thing of you know that there's more, but maybe like, and correct me if I'm wrong, but you you feel like your nervous system can't entirely hold that next thing yet. Am I I think it's like a I think it's more of like a mindset thing. Okay. Cause I'm like, I'm ready to go. Let's do this. I don't even know the thing yet. So I can't even I'm like, I don't know. Let's go. So are you then like what are you doing in the interim? Is this impacting you on a day-to-day basis, trying to figure out what this is? I think that's the key. Yeah. And not figuring it out. Like I honestly think that we need to start operating from non-attachment. Like the more that I expect things to go a certain way, the more it goes the opposite way. I can be open to an experience and not figure it out. Yeah. You know what I mean? I know that if I am building the skill set of public speaking, showing up live on the Substack, building my YouTube, doing the podcast, I will attract whatever that thing is and that download will come. But it's not attachment and I need to create more space in nature to just be. And yeah, I could. Do it, but also is that valuable for the vision I am trying to create and the impact and the legacy I'm here to build? Maybe not. Maybe I do need to be in the spaces where I get to be up here and then let it download in and then bring it to the people who need it most, right? Have you always been good at this non-attachment? No. my God, the last two years. I I've struggled so hard because I'm like, it's supposed to be this way. It's supposed to work this way. And how mind-boggling is it to be like, it can only happen one way for you? There's infinite possibilities in this world. You can go in a direction, have a plan, great. But if you have a better opportunity or an opportunity that's more aligned, why would you keep going towards the thing when clearly it's redirecting you elsewhere? You know, and I'm just like, I don't know why that feels so simple now, after the chaos of big figuring it out. But honestly, I think figuring it out is the death of you. It feels like death. Yes. I'm like, are we how about you though? Like how like what's your experience with attaching yourself to an outcome? Or not attaching? Yeah. The so I historically have been someone who's like Type A trying to like control situations and the outcome. And so the non-attachment thing is something that I have to work so hard on. And it's like an everyday thing of just like what is my energy in everything that I am doing from the marketing to yeah, the marketing is like the big one where it comes up. It's like to all the actions. So For me, there's this drive and this want to grow my community bloom and because I know the value. And sometimes I'm still learning the right way to the right way like to talk about it, to explain that value, share that value so that others can s see that as well. And so there's this I've had to really check my energy that I'm not coming off as desperate and wanting people to come to my community. and so it's like that trusting that yes, this will happen. And if for some reason the community doesn't grow to what I want it to be, then there is something that is more aligned that will come. and so a lot of that work for me has been. doing a TB to be magnetic work. So doing guided meditations, really addressing subconscious beliefs in the that impact the growth of my business. So having beliefs that are coming up around worthiness of capability, those are the then the big ones, trust. belonging all of that and so really doing the inner work and doing the meditations, doing the journaling, doing EMDR and all of that is helping me take a step back, release the pressure, and not go a thousand miles per hour and do all of the things and coming at it from a desperate energy. Yeah. I kept hearing you say doing Doing, doing like it's a like it's a checklist. So I'm like curious too, like, are you really embodying the work? Yes. And and that's a big thing too, is like testing myself and like a lot of the work is cycle syncing in business and listening to my body, which is why we had to reschedule this live conversation because I was sick last week and I was like, I really should I I should do this. We've scheduled this, we've promoted it. And then there's this little voice that's like, if you go live when you're sick, you are abandoning your body, which is what I preach to women entrepreneurs as they are growing their business. So it I've been getting these tests that really am asked, it's asking me, are you embodying what you're preaching? Mm-hmm. Yeah. Well, and you're force we're both four sixes. So it's like we literally have to be the living and breathing entity of what we are teaching. And so you doing that is so powerful for that reason. Like you're telling people like this is a live conversation. This isn't gonna be live or like you're this isn't like life or death, right? Like it's a conversation that can happen at any moment. Right. And so it's just like I love that you still chose, even though you're like, I've already committed the plan, right? Sticking to the plan. And it because you are a planner. I'm like, dang, you are organized. Like a lot. Which is why I can help other women entrepreneurs with their organization, right? Yeah. I was like, my gosh. But the embodiment piece, right? Of like, which is something that it's like, well, I can't say like you build a business off of your energetics if I'm not even building my own business off of my energetics for a projector, right? And there are times where you can't just like there's nuances to that as well, right? Sometimes you just have to get something done. but how do we set ourselves up in a way that does honor our natural cycles and rhythms energetically? Right. Cause that that's where we're gonna be. joy is the point. It's like how for right now, my whole mantra is like, how much fun can I have in every single process? I'm like hiring a systems person to help me. And I'm like, I want my client onboarding to be so fun. I want them to feel like this is the funnest thing they've ever done, Like because it's scary to bird your business into the world. It's terrifying. I get that. So how can we like remove that that ickness with just like let's let's replace it with some fun, right? Like let's just make the process fun. It's not to be so serious. Everyone's taking things way too seriously these days. Like, stop. Stop. We all need a little bit more fun. why are we here if we're not having any fun? Yeah. So as you the even with the whether it's the embodiment stuff or just as you're, you know, kind of settling more into your brand, have you had certain tests come up at all that come to mind? Yeah, I think that's there's like a fine line of like, well, you need cash flow to live in this very expensive world. And you also want to honor. clients that you're bringing in. Right. And so I actually, because of the brand that I built and because of the personality that I have, I actually attract really aligned clients. Right. And so that feels really, really great. But I can see where I'm like, But I actually do trust and I feel like I put up not a spell, but a boundary or protection of universe, only send me clients that I'm meant to work with. And only send clients who are ready to commit right now. Right. And so there's as far as like the tests go, it's like, yeah, there's always gonna be tests. And it's always like to your point, like checking your body or checking the like, is this actually in alignment with me? And here's the thing, they usually don't sign if it's not correct. Yeah. They're not aligned. It's not the right thing. No, absolutely not. Absolutely not. Well and then that creates the space for the aligned client. Yes. And I'm always like, well, if that didn't come through, then it's obviously creating space for something else that's more aligned to come. Right. Whether that's, I don't know, a brand deal or another client or whatever. for me, I think there's certain types of people who like to do repetitive things and like likes to focus on like one thing, but I'm like an alchemizer. Like I like to have my hands in little. Like sometimes it's business strategy, sometimes it's branding, sometimes it's website design and development. I think people are like, she just does human design. And I'm like, no, no, no, no, no. I have a deep strategy brain. As much as I want you to be beautiful in the world and aligned, I also understand how to get there too. Right. It's like bringing this like whoo into the we know. It's so necessary. You need strategy and energetics in business. Like you can't just do one or the other. They both have to be looked at. One hundred percent. And I think we've only been looking at well strategy. And then you look at these people and they're like making a buttload of money, but they're burnt out, they look sick, they are sick, and you're like, Is this working for you? You know? And it's just like, why aren't we sometimes I think we forget that we get to question our decisions. And it's a it's not a failure. It's just something to look at and something to get really curious about. Like I was on a call yesterday with someone and she was like Trying to she she's like, I got this business, I'm trying to make it work in this business. And I was like, Girl, you're a new person. You have you're trying to make snake skin that's been shedded work for you, but it's dead. it's dead. You haven't had a new client in a year. This entity is dead. It's your soul is calling you to be your own personal brand and to be the author and the speaker that you want to be. I just asked her, what would your day look like? And she said those things. I was like, that has nothing to do with what you do. And you're trying to force yourself to make something work when it's very clear the universe has shut off that like channel and kinked it for you. You haven't had a new client in a year. Of course you don't want to work on a branding project. It's not meant for this entity anymore. It's meant for your like you want to be more visible in the world. You're done hiding behind the screen. And she was just like like could not see that herself. And that's the power of community too. And getting out of your own way. Yes. What what has community unlocked for you recently? my god, so much. So I just it's called Intuitive Business Builder is what the community that I'm in right now. And it's very I was really attracted to it because okay, my cat. Okay, it's kind of my gosh, my gosh, okay. We've lost we have l I've lost the screen. Okay, we're still here. and I joined that community because it was so focused on energetic clearings. And I have so much shit around like the money piece of like I have to work really, really hard and then I'll make a lot of money. And what the universe has shown me over the last year, it's like I've worked the hardest and haven't made as much. And I'm like, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, what's happening? Like my formula that was given to me, conditioned into me, doesn't work anymore. Because it was it's not meant for me to work. I'm not meant to work in that way in general. So The power of being mentored by someone who has no fear around it, no fear if money's gonna come in, is so powerful. It's like be in communities that people have these qualities and this essence that you want to embody. And that has just been power, powerful in and of itself. But being around other like-minded people, like you're kind of like, interesting that this is like like I don't have this fear, but you have this fear, and you could be a potential client of mine. Right. And so also just getting really in it with people who are building businesses for honestly market research too. yeah. Yeah. Because a lot of times when you're in those communities that are aligned, you have the a lot of times it's like your ideal client is in there, even though that your it's not your goal to like to get clients as a part of this community, but you can learn so much from the people in there. so have you I want to hear more about the money mindset and the shift. So are there things outside of being a part of this community that you are doing to help shift your money mindset? And have you seen what some of those shifts have been already? Mm-hmm. Yeah, from the joining this community, I was like, I'm like, I don't, I probably shouldn't. This is to my monthly subscription list. it's not a small fee. But I'm like, I just feel like this is what I need. And it like, I don't even four times, five times my income last month. And I was like, you've got to be fucking kidding me. What? The actual fuck. Like, I'm telling you, it's changed my like and and this whole non-attachment thing that I'm talking about, that is part of what I've been learning. It's like You cannot you have to just trust and she has meditations that I listen to every single day. when I wake up, when I go to bed, I'm like, I I'm a clear in here. We are clear. We are done with the bullshit, shadow shit that's like happening. Let's transmute it. Let's transmute it and like let's call in our highest form of self now that we're like clear. But getting really clear on what I wanted to create. Like I'm like, okay, I'm all in on just the branding and all the other stuff that I do can be layered into this package one hundred percent. But as soon as I decided that, client, client, client, client, referral, client. You're like, great, amazing, fabulous. And then doing all of the money energy clips, because she does like live energy clearings. Did you end up doing one of those or no? I did. I did one of the the live ones, which was fun. It's very unique though. I've never experienced like that way. And so just, I don't know. There's just I just have so much more trust and like clarity. As much as I say I want more clarity, it's like there is a lot more clarity than what I've had been operating in at the beginning of the year. Because at the beginning of the year, I wasn't even, I was completely removed all of my branding. My what grounds me in the world is my self-expression and my creativity. What was I thinking? And I'm like, it's it's only human design and business energetics. Let's go. And then I was like, I'm bored, I don't want to do this. Like I don't know, I don't want to only do this. You know what I mean? Like I love to the my point of the alchemy. It's like I love to just play in the energy of other people and then and here's your brand, It's like, what am I doing? So it's just been this transition of like taking everything away, bringing it all back, and like it's been a whole thing. But I will say the non-attachment piece is something that I'm recently learning in the community that I have been practicing. I've been practicing literally asking, dear divine, higher self, spirit guides, show me the way. Lead me to my next client. How do I make $10,000 this month? Anything in my way, remove it, uncreate it across all timelines, space, and dimensions. you know, it's just a trust. I don't know. It's it's wild. Did that answer your question? It it does. I what I heard and what stood out, I mean, there were many things I heard, but what stood out to me was that when you got really clear, then the aligned clients started to come in, but you needed to be clear first because then I think otherwise people out in the world, they just didn't, they were confused. They didn't understand what you could do for them and why they would want to work with you. Mm-hmm. Well, yeah. And so like as a projector, it's like if you don't recognize yourself in your gifts, no one's going to be able to recognize you. And if you're constantly like changing what you have, of course you're going to be unclear on what you offer. And sometimes you're making offers that you haven't even created yet. You're just like trying to see if someone will will is is this a way that people like in for people to get into my world? And then you create it later. Right. I had a recent experience. I w I attended a like it was supposed to be a kind of a workshop that was live. And I ended up being the only person that attended live. And this was last week, and I was slowly starting to get sick. I was in that moment right before you're sick, where you're like, I don't feel super good. I don't really, but I don't am I sick or am I just tired? Yeah. And I did not want to attend this thing. And then I show up and I'm the only one. And I'm like, man. But I'm so glad I did because it was two women that were leading it. And they I basically got a private private coaching session. And I was practicing talking about what I do, how I help women, my community, explaining all of it. And they were like poking holes. They're like, this is so high level. You're talking in circles. I don't understand what you do. I'm like. Wow. Sometimes you just need to be slapped in the face. I know, I know. But it's like that's really powerful though. That is the power of community. And when you're a solopreneur working from home in your own world, you could be sitting there circling on things forever, right? my gosh. And so it's like That experience for you in community and helping you shift your attachment and your money story. And for me, just even getting a moment of clarity in my messaging, it's like, wow, I it's not clear. I need to clear this up. I mean, I would even my mom's like, I don't really know how to introduce you. I don't, I don't really know what you're doing right now. I'm like, that's a problem. I know, you introduced me as the Energy Architect, and I had someone on the podcast being like, I have do you like are you an energy, actual energy? I was like, no, literally am not. So then I'm like, okay, I just printed out business cards. Wait, wait, okay, this is actually really exciting. It's been seven years. This is my first time I've had a business card. Beautiful. Anyways, I call myself a creative director, is why I bring this up. You know, and I'm like, Yeah. I guess it's the cloth like. I also have had to separate my personal brand from my business. So in my business design to be human, I am a creative director. In It's Sasha Pearl, I am the Energy Architect. And they they combine. Yes. But it's different. Like I will lead with energetics on It's Sasha Pearl. I I use energetics as a tool design to be human, but I'm brand forward. and I had to make that delineation because I was like, I'm not leading with human design anymore. it will be on the website, but I don't want to lead with that. Giving human design readings are you know, great and so valuable, but I want to solve the problem. Like I'm a problem solver. I want to solve it and I wanna use your energetics. I don't want to like regurgitate like information to you. Like I want you to come to me with a problem and I can do a brand audit or like a business audit or a content audit with that information and really like use it in that way, right? To inform a strategy, not to just be like, and this is the gate that you do this with. You know, like and this gate and this, you know, it's like, okay, you can get like we're in the information age. Like you can definitely get a lot of this online. And no, I do not recommend keeping design only online. I would definitely recommend getting a reading. But would you do a reading for someone? Yeah, of course. Okay. I'm actually have one after this call. Well, that sounds fun. That you get to do a little bit of this and a l like you said, you don't want to just do one thing. So then you are able to yeah, have multiple. Mm-hmm. Yeah. But this one I get to solve a social media thing, a visibility thing, right? So it's like, yes, it's a human design reading, but we're going to focus it around her social media. But she doesn't have one. So it's gonna perfect. Easy peasy. I got you. That's so cool. So Where what is your focus right now? what is the biggest thing that's top of mind with your business? Mm-hmm. getting people to understand that I do branding again. Yeah. Because that is like the I think it's one of the the most fun process because I get to hear and it's layered. I get to look at your energetics, I get to look at your business problems, and then I get to create your fullest expression in the world with you. that is such a fun process. And I'm like, okay, so I just need to keep talking about like I'm only want to talk about that. But like brand is the foundation of everything. The content piece that I'm working on too, it's a living and breathing expression of who you are in the world. Right. If people you can have a brand and a website, but if you're not promoting yourself, you don't have a business, right? And so just knowing that social media is such a powerful tool, there's It's like a billion dollar industry at this point for the creator economy is insane. And it's like if you're sleeping on social media, that's okay because it's not for you and you don't have any desire for it. But if you're not on it because you fear judgment, visibility, etc., then that's a different conversation because that's something that you can work through and heal. Versus at a core, you're like, it's just not part of my ethos or value. Like I'd rather make human connections like in person. Great. It's not for everyone. But if you It's just a way to stop gatekeeping your magic, I think. it's just such an easy way to show up and just explore and experiment and I think there's just so much like gunk in the field, right? Of production around social media. And I know that you you also you're like, ugh, social media. Yeah. Right? And it's like what's coming up for you around that? Yeah. I've had it's been interesting. I mean, social media is more like I don't necessarily feel I think there is some fear of visibility, but more on like family and that visible and being visible to my loved ones, which is really weird. and maybe it's stems from I grew up Catholic, and so there's just a lot. I think there's a lot around that and like judgment and things like Yeah, that's a whole other topic. But more it's like the time and energy and having to stay connected and feeling like I'm always plugged in, I'm always updating something. And so it's the amount of energy and time that goes into it where I'm just like, I don't I don't want to do that. And when I am spending time with family and I'm not plugged into my phone and I'm present with them, I feel so good. And I could literally never think about social media again. And we're done. And we're done. But you know, there's moments where it's like, I like, you know, I want to share this, I want to share that. And I and it's it is always checking what feels the best and what things am I approaching because I feel like I have to and what I should be doing with social media. Yeah. And my lens on this too is like again coming back to how do we make it as fun as possible to create? to your point of cycle syncing and doing the ideation during certain phases and XYZ, it's like, what if you built out it it all out for the next two weeks and then you just schedule everything and you don't have to like be on there. Right. It's just like I think that we can make Creating content so convoluted and overcomplicated. And honestly, some of the best reels perform so great because they are just off the cuff, hey, this is what I'm thinking. Right. And it's like there's so much performance, which is fine, on there. And also, how do you find your unique authenticity in a way where it's so much fun to create? Because you can't stop fucking talking about what you are creating. And the fact that people don't know about Bloom or what you're doing is like that's actually a problem, to your point. And it's if you just had more convers would it be just having more conversations and like how do you have how do you have more fun? But you're on Substack, so it's a form of social media as well, right? Right. Right. And that and you know, that is fun for me. And I think something that I've really experienced lately too is simplifying what I'm promoting, what I'm doing, because I've been Creating monthly workshops that were intentionally created for the Bloom community. But then I thought, well, this is a great opportunity for those that are not in the community to drop in and experience it. And then maybe they'll want to become a community member. But then every single month, I am promoting something slightly different. And I'm talking about this and I'm promoting that. And it's like, one, that's a lot of promotion for people to consume. And two, It's like, wait, now Emily's talking about this and now she's talking about that. And I think it's really important. This is what I say for my clients too is simplify and focus on promoting one, maybe two things. You're not like promoting this and promoting that. It's like, whoa, overwhelming. Yeah. yeah. Yeah. So. This monthly workshop that I'm doing this month is the last one that will be available to non community members. And then I can just focus on promoting my community. And those that are in it can soak in, soak in all of the knowledge and amazing tools that are available within these workshops. But I had to learn through like, my gosh, I'm creating another sales landing page and all this promotional content when. I want that energy to go into the workshop itself. yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. Absolutely. It's like, I think that goes back to your planning and the strategy stuff too. Like when we were building out, I was part of one of your workshops, which I lived, and we were planning out. And I was like, I don't plan this far out. This is crazy. And you're like, talk about one thing. I'm like, I don't want to just talk about one thing. Okay. But there's so much power because people literally need to see it what 32 times now. Before they understand what you do. I'd be curious, I need to ask my community, like, what do you think I do? What do you think I do? I think that's a tip for people is ask your best friend, your partner, your parent, like, what do you think I do? And if they can't tell you, you got some work to do. I did. I had work to do. Wait, okay, so how actually I'm just curious. What did you so you were the only person on this workshop live? What did you how are you reframing the community how you speak about it now? So were you and what are you doing now? I still have not figured out exactly how I am going to phrase the community quite yet, like the actual words, but I was generally saying that this is a space for community for you to be able to grow your business in relation with other women entrepreneurs so that you have more clarity, confidence, and ease as you grow your business. That was generally what I was talking about. And it's much more about yes, you're in community, but you have the systems and structure to build your business and prioritize. Along with the tools to nurture, convert, and retain clients while not abandoning your body in the process of building your business. There still needs to be some work on how that is, but it is like you're having the tools and the structure, you're having the marketing to nurture and convert your clients, but we're taking a feminine approach to business. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. There's still some work. There's still some work, but we're getting closer. Yeah. I feel like there's something like you read that. Were you reading from a screen when you said that or from your brain? No, I was trying to find what I had written down earlier today because I was brainstorming on it for more of the how I help people, which it's like, how come I still have to look at something to be able to say how I help people? Yes, I create brands, but I also will change your entire identity and transform you. I don't know. But when you said that, my point being you your energy dropped. And I was like, that's you have to be excited about what you do, right? And I know that you are, but like how you just I was like, what's happening here? Okay. Well, so there's work to do. And and that is one of the biggest things that I'm navigating is like how. How am I talking about what I do in a way that resonates with people and feels really exciting for me too? Mm-hmm. Because I have the bits and pieces, but I'm still trying to pull that together. Yes, exactly. And I let like don't, yeah. There's something about like what is exciting for you too that feels really important, just like intuitively, feels really important for you. Yeah. Cause if you don't want to get stuck in like the email marketing thing again, right? Where you're just like, Right. But make you get to build this in the way that you want to. And I think even you leading with the cycle sinking and not abandoning your body and the feminine approach is actually really valuable. And I think we're so burnt out by all of this like bro marketing BS. It's like, yes, you can take the strategy, but then make it work for you. I think that's like really I think that's the most interesting part. Like I've never, like in the workshop that I did with Emily, we I put it in my Google Calendar, like I'm through, I'm on this phase, this phase, this phase. And I was like, I do feel different. I was like, I do. Okay. But I wasn't paying attention to that. I was just like, yeah, I'm just gonna show up, feel creative, go, Yeah. So I'm just saying that for me that feels like such a powerful point to wanting to join the community is really building it in a way that's aligned to cycle syncing. Yeah. I would say that people have like the most questions that I get are about cycle syncing in business, which is really interesting. Fault keep one That is the golden thread for you. That is the golden ticket, my friends. People are asking about that specifically. So why aren't you building like build that as the positioning for your marketing? That makes the most sense to me. And it's the most exciting and intriguing. Like, how do I build my business? Recycle thinking. You know? So I think in all of this. What this tells people is that even though we have strategy backgrounds, we struggle with some of the same cycling on like I think messaging and how you are working with people and how you are creating that transformation. And frankly, it takes trial and error, time, reflection, seeing how things feel in your body. Yeah. It but we all go through it. Yeah, I think that's the whole point. We're gonna be if you're running a business, you're gonna be met with the mirror into all of your shadows, all of your fears and all of your doubts. And in that process, you get to choose. You get to choose to succumb to that, or you get to choose to build a relationship with it and do it anyways. And take the risk on yourself because we need your gifts in the world, like in such a massive way. And it like breaks my heart. When I hear people not showing up or doing something because of fear of judgment from family or whatnot. And I'm like, we need to be supporting each other, my friends, and being excited about what people want to bring forth in the world. Even if you don't understand it, just be like, Hell yeah, I'm gonna like that real. I'm gonna share this thing. I'm gonna tell people about you, X, Y, X, Y, X, Y, NZ, X, Y, NZ. It's like, and that goes back into the power of community, but like, Pearl, I got your back. Let's go. You Yes. A hundred percent so well said. So we should probably wrap this up. We're almost at an hour. Do we want do we want to open it up to any chat questions? If anybody got four of you in here. What's up? Emily, I love you. Jane, we love you. Yeah, feel free if there's if you want to ask us about anything that we're doing or how we navigated something, feel free to put it in the chat. Ooh, Britney says hey girl. Brittany and I are doing a workshop this Friday called Become the Creatrix. So this is all about your sacral center and the energetics of that as it ties to your business, tapping into your creativity. helping you discern between creative ideas. So we're gonna have some embodiment practices. But is this one of your workshops? This is, yeah. What? It's open to the wider web. It is. It's the last workshop that is open to those beyond the Bloom community. And I'm doing that in partnership with Brittany. So super excited. So fun. Okay, well, maybe I'll sign up for that one. Depending on Yes, you should. It'll be really fun. I don't if you don't know Britney, she's a holistic pelvic physical therapist. yep, Britney's a projector too. Hey Brittany, you got the power of the fourth line, my girl. And what's really powerful about that is that you are meant to build authentic relationships. So you being part of Emily's community. is going to be really great because Emily's also a fourth line. So you guys get to connect each other. But the more that you can actually access people who have already invited you in to the worlds and see, hey, do you have any other referrals? Can you refer me to other people? Like good people know good people. So definitely like reach out to your people and ask them for referrals to get new leads in for you. And then simultaneously to your two line. So you're naturally gifted, my girl. And you are really here, like if you are on social media at all, show people how you work with them. The more that people can see you in your essence, the more they're gonna be like, I'm gonna know I know you for this. I know you're for X, Y, and Z. But you're naturally gifted. So but I would really lean on your fourth line for and your community to connect you with other people for you. And Spleenic projector, so in the moment who is correct for you and who's not. Does that make sense? Sharing your gifts real time. Exactly. That's my favorite. Maybe we'll do a human design reading for you in our next one. Ooh, that would be fun. No problem. Right. Yeah. so yeah, what do you have going on? What do you is there anything that you want to share with people, promote anything you have going on? What do I have going on? I actually don't have any programs or workshops going on right now. I do want to launch the content. Playhouse at the beginning of January. And I can't decide if I want it to be a retreat or a workshop yet. But I really want to hone in on this essence of creating content in a like-minded community with people who have different businesses come together and they create content that feels really fun for them. And like giving them exploratory like items to play with or content or topics, but like making it feel experiential and so they can bring that into their day-to-day. And creating it as part of a ritual, a content ritual, right? So we're playing with that idea. That's coming in January. but yeah, or branding. If you guys need a brand, let me know. I got you. Brand, websites, content. Just need someone to see into your soul. I got you. How should people get in contact with you? You can DM me at it's Sasha Pearl. You can email me sasha at design to behuman.com. yeah, those two are gonna be the best. Love it. So amazing. And you're going to be speaking at like for the Bloom community in November. Okay. I actually do have a workshop then. Yes. Yours. Don't you forget about that. Yeah, no, I did not. I did not. I was like for mine, I do not. For you, absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. So we're so excited. And you're going do you want to share what you'll be talking about there? I think we're doing did we decide on the human design for was it content? I think we did content. Yep. Yeah. So human design for content. So essentially we're gonna go over how do we use your unique energetics to inform how you create content and really just accessing what feels in alignment to you, how do we make it the most fun? And just kind of being, you know, like there's so much nuance to everything. Like it's not black and white. So just really playing into like the energy, follow where it feels alive for you. And allowing that to come through in a way that's natural and fun and all the things. But yeah, we'll be essentially what I'm doing with the content playhouse is what we'll be experiencing in your workshop. We can't wait. Yes. And so if that interests you, or if you're looking for community structure, accountability, and approaching business by taking a more feminine approach to business, check out Bloom, my community for women entrepreneurs. And Sasha will be joining us in November. yeah, can't wait. while what did you think of your first live? So fun. I'm like, should I do my podcast like this, just live, no editing? Maybe I should. I it makes me want to just do everything live because it feels way easier and yeah, more natural. Yeah. I mean, yeah, I sometimes people are a little awkward on camera, so I don't know. Depends. You gotta get the right people on. Your solo podcast can be live. Yeah. wait, I love this idea. Yeah. Brittany has a podcast too. It's amazing. The less editing, the better. Yeah. Love it. Well, thank you for joining me today, Sasha. Thank you. I think for chatting with you. I know. We went to a lot of different tangents, but we're here. We made it. Yes. Made it to the end. I can imagine that people can relate to at least a few of the things that we talked about, the experiences that we've gone through are going through all of that, and hopefully it just makes you feel a little less alone and gives you some ideas for maybe how you might want to approach something differently. So thank you all for joining and hope that you have a great rest of your day. Okay. Bye everyone.
